Obituary of Darlene Lucas

Mrs. Darlene Langford Lucas, 77, wife of Thomas A. Lucas, passed away at home on March 30, 2017. She was born in Riverside California on April 15, 1939 to the late William Langford and Ilene Langford Cox.  

Mrs. Lucas was survived by her husband, Tom Lucas, they had been together for 53 years; her two sons, Mark Lucas and Martin Lucas; and her four grandchildren. Mrs. Lucas was predeceased by her parents, William Langford and Ilene Langford Cox; and her daughter, Penny Blyman. Mrs. Lucas was a Book Keeper, she loved her job. She was a member, with her husband, at the Salt River Independent Baptist Church; she loved God, Jesus and everyone at the church. With her history in book keeping she also served the church as treasurer. Mrs. Lucas was what every man would want in a wife. 
Services will be held at Saffell House Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 1 p.m. Visitation will precede the service on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 11-1 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Pastor Carol Bush will officiate the service.
