   Mackenzie Morris- Founder/ Owner and Funeral Director

    Mackenzie is a Funeral Director at Saffell House Funeral Home, where he shares in the operations of the business. He is currently working to obtain his insurance license to further his abilities and opportunities as a Pre-Planning Specialist where he will assist families in prearranging. Mackenzie is a third generation Funeral Home Owner/Director.

    Mackenzie was born in Lawrenceburg, KY, where he is a lifelong resident and a 2012 graduate of Anderson County High School. He  furthered his education by attending Mid-America College of Funeral Service immediately after high school and graduating with the distinguished honor of valedictorian in 2014. 

    Mackenzie is an active and lifelong member of the Overland Church of Christ (Lawrenceburg); he is also a member of the Rotary Club (Lawrenceburg Charter) where service over self is the motivation.

    Mackenzie is the son of Steve and Renee Whitehouse Morris, who are long time residents of Lawrenceburg. Mackenzie married his lovely  wife, Ellie Swisher (Shelbyville), in May 2016. Mackenzie has three beautiful children, Reagan, Mack, and Rylee Morris. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.



   Nathan Morris- Founder/ Owner and Funeral Director

    Nathan has been serving the funeral industry for 20+ years. He is the lead Funeral Director at Saffell House Funeral Home, where he shares in the operations of the business. Nathan is a second generation Funeral Home Owner/Director.

    Nathan graduated from Nelson County High School (Bardstown); and later moved to Lawrenceburg where he began his career in the funeral industry. He attended Mid- America College of Funeral Service where he graduated in 1997, and went on to complete his apprenticeship in Lawrenceburg in 1998. 

    Nathan and his wife, Connie Ball Morris, reside in Georgetown where Nathan is a Deputy Coroner and business owner. He is  an active member of Central Church of Christ (Georgetown) and Georgetown Choral Society. He is a  former member of the Lawrenceburg Lyon's Club.

    Nathan is the son of Forrest and Martha Proffitt Morris, residents of Chaplin. He has a daughter and son, Sarah Morris Howard and Joshua Morris (both of Winchester). In his spare time he enjoys traveling and NHRA/ IHRA/PDRA drag racing and occasionally a pit crew member for Don Hall  Racing.

Brent Hawkins- Greeter/ Assistant

Brent has worked in the funeral business for 2 years prior to joining the staff at Saffell House Funeral Home in 2019.

He is a lifelong resident of Anderson County where he graduated High School in 1980 and is a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church.

Brent is the son of the late Carl and Myrtle Ann Hawkins.

In his spare time Brent enjoys collecting historical Anderson County memorabilia, being outdoors, studying history, and spending time with family and friends.

Brent received his transport license in 2021.
