Obituary of Lavelle Morris
Lavelle “Buddy” Morris, Jr., 78, passed away Wednesday ,February 1, 2017 in Owingsville, Ky. Born in Hartford, Ky on November 21, 1938; he was the son of the late Lavelle Morris, Sr. and Nancy Francis “Poole” Morris.
Buddy was originally from Ohio County, Ky; then moving to Louisville, Ky where he graduated from Male High School. He lived the majority of his life in Mt. Sterling, Ky. Buddy retired from A.O. Smith and was also the former owner of the Book Nook. He also loved to read and eat ice cream. Buddy was a member of the Church of Christ.
Lavelle “Buddy” Morris, Jr. was preceded in death by his father, Lavelle Morris, Sr.; his mother, Nancy Francis Morris; a sister, Linda Ann Ward.
Lavelle “Buddy” Morris, Jr. is survive by his son, Lavelle Morris III; his daughter, Navona Morris Jude; his seven grandchildren; and his three great-grandchildren.
Cremation was chosen and at this time there are no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Saffell House Funeral Home.
