Obituary of John William Poynter

John William “Bill” Poynter, 62, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017. Mr. Poynter was born in Cave City on May 6, 1954.
 Bill spent his life working in construction and out on the farm; he also enjoyed to garden. Bill is survived by three daughters, Donita Smalls of Kansas, Debra L. Poynter and Chelsei L. Poynter both of Lawrenceburg; three Stepchildren, John Toppass of Lawrenceburg, Katrina Wells and Elizabeth Terrell of Willisburg; a sister, Ellsie of cave city and seven grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Poynter will be at Saffell House Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 4-8 pm. Burial will be at Cave City Cemetery on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11 am.
