Obituary of Anita Rose Sea

Anita Rose Rucker Sea, 82, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. Anita was born on April 7, 1941, in Lawrenceburg, KY, to her late parents, Lee Rucker and Virginia McGinnis Rucker. She was a loving wife to Gilbert Boyd Sea for 63 years.

Anita graduated from Western High School and worked in the Drivers License Division at the State for 11 years. Anita, with her husband welcomed foster children into their home for several years, they loved the opportunities to help. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and actively participated in various church projects including The Bereavement Meals program and The Feed a Family Program. Anita also belonged to the Anderson County Homemakers for many years.

In addition to her husband, Anita is survived by her sister, Betty Brown (Forrest); and nieces/nephews, Jimmy Hawkins, Kim Boulware, Jeff Gritton, and John Gritton.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Brenda Gritton and a nephew, Kaylan Hawkins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 3825 Tyrone Pike, Versailles, Ky 40383. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Saffell House Funeral Home with a Graveside Service immediately following at Lawrenceburg Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Alex Boulware, Jeremy Hawkins, Kerry Hawkins, Danny Hoskins, Graddy Allen, and Rick Ralston.

Anita had several special friends, including but not limited to, Nellie Hartley, Della Rose, Lana Allen, Colleen Kidwell, and Debbie Rice.
