Obituary of Irvon Granville Pickett

Irvon Granville Pickett, age 80, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born in Corinth, KY on December 2, 1941  to the late Carl Harlan and Hazel Nunnelley Pickett. He was married to his late wife, Judy McKinley Ford Pickett for 43 years.

Irvon spent his life living in Stamping Ground, Georgetown and Frankfort. He retired from Kentucky State Department of Transportation as a truck driver.

Irvon is survived by his sons, Todd Humphrey and Michael Scott Humphrey; grandchildren, Carlie Reinstedler, Megan Davenport, Torie Humphrey, Leslie Humphrey and Julian Humphrey; Great-grandchildren, Kaydon Humphrey, Owen Davenport, Addy Smith and Beckett Reinstedler.

Irvon is predeceased by his wife, Judy Pickett; parents, Carl and Hazel Pickett; sisters, Mary Ball, Delores Brown, and Juanita Humphrey; brothers, Eugene Pickett and Tommy Pickett.

Visitation will be held at Saffell House Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 5-8 p.m.. The Funeral Service be held at Saffell House Funeral Home on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. with the graveside service immediately following at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m..

Sherman (Pops) Warfield will be officiating the service.

Pallbearers will be Alan Pickett, J. Chaney, Leslie Humphrey, Julian Humphrey, Justin Davenport and Arnold Riddle.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Saffell House Funeral Home.
