Obituary of Harvey C. Baker

Harvey C. Baker, 94, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. He was born in Washington County, KY on July 27, 1927 to the late Lonie D. and Mary Young Baker. He was the widower of Nancy Buchanan Baker. Harvey was retired from IBM and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a faithful Christian and was a member of the Overland Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg, KY. Harvey is survived by his daughter, Tanya Lake (Glenn) of Lawrenceburg; grandson, Marcus Lake (Alexa) of Nicholasville; granddaughter, Sophie Brown (Curt) of Lexington; great-grandsons, James Brown, Charles Lake, and Henry Lake; one brother, Maurice Baker (Joyce) of Tuscan, AZ; one sister in law, Doris Baker; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Baker; parents, Lonie D. and Mary Baker; two brothers, Everett Baker (Marsola) and Ruel Baker; and two sisters, Nona Mobley (Willard) and Alma (R.C.) Coslow. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Saffell House Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m.. The graveside service will follow the funeral service at Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, Ky. Pallbearers will be Marcus Lake, Curt Brown, Jason Denny, Gary Brown, Mark Curtis, and Bryan Edwards. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Brown, Charles Lake, and Henry Lake.
