Obituary of Shelby Todd

Shelby Todd Jr., 82, passed away at home on September 18, 2021. Born October 30, 1938 in Pulaski, KY to the late Shelby Cecil Todd and Emmaline Godby Todd. He was the husband to his loving wife, Lois Todd. Shelby graduated high school from Anderson High in 1958. After high school Shelby went into the National Guard and then later joined the Navy; he served his country for four years on the USS Antietam CVS 36 as a Aviation Boatswain Mate. During his time he was stationed in Pensacola, FL. Shelby furthered his education by receiving a Bachelor Degree from Kentucky State. Shelby was a member of the Clay Village Church of Christ where he taught, preached and was a worker for the Lord. Shelby loved to read and especially about the Bible and early Kentucky History. Shelby is survived by his wife, Lois Todd; sons, Timothy Wallace Todd (Christy) and Shane Hunter Todd (Paula); two grandchildren, Isabella Mckinnley Todd and Olivia Brooklyn Todd; sister in law, Wilma June Hutchinson (Jackie); niece, Heather Hutchinson; and a nephew Harold Todd. He is preceded in death by his parents, Shelby Cecil Todd and Emmaline Godby Todd; and his brothers and sisters. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date.
