Obituary of Betty Sidebottom Morris

Betty Sidebottom Morris, age 86, of Shepherdsville, KY passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Mrs. Morris was born in Boston, KY on September 15, 1934 to the late Jeff Taylor Sidebottom and Ruby Lee Cartwright Sidebottom. Betty graduated from My Old Kentucky Home High School. Soon thereafter married and moved to Louisville, KY where she lived the majority of her life with her husband and children. She worked at Zayre/Ames for 28 years in retail sales. Then later moved to Shepherdsville, KY. She attended Expressway Church of Christ. Most importantly she loved her family dearly. Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years of marriage, Calvin Rollin Morris; parents, Jeff Taylor Sidebottom and Ruby Lee Cartwright Sidebottom; and sisters, Rosie Sturgill and Viola Noe. She leaves to cherish her memory; children, Calvin Douglas Morris, Bryan Morris (Deniece), Sherry Drew (David), Louis Morris, Phillip Morris (Shannie) and Shaun Morris; grandchildren, Catherine, Taylor, Drew (Darja), Tessah, Trent, McKenna, Thomas, Michaela (Austin), Hunter (Taylor), Dailin and Ashlin; great- grandson, Alec; brother, Manuel Sidebottom (Peggy); and a host of other dear family and friends. A graveside service will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens West on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Fireside chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WHAS Crusade for Children or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Saffell House Funeral Home.
