Obituary of Melvin Douglas Hobbs
Melvin “Doug” Hobbs, 70, of Lawrenceburg, Ky passed away Monday June 20th, 2016 at St. Joe Hospice Care Center in Lexington, Ky. He was the husband of Deborah Hobbs. Born in Lexington, Ky on June 7, 1946. He was the son of the late Leonard and Marry Lee Hobbs.
Melvin “Doug” worked many years for BFI but was currently retired. He loved to fish and enjoy the outdoors.
Melvin “Doug” was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Hobbs; his mother, Mary Lee Hensley Hobbs; a sister, Bonnie Hobbs; a brother, Clayton Hobbs.
Along with his wife, Deborah, Melvin “Doug” is survived by two sons, Jason Douglas Evans and Joey Lewis Evans; a brother, Jimmy Hobbs; and a sister, Linda Baker.
Cremation was chosen for the method of disposition by choice, and the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date to be determined.
