Obituary of Thomas Andrew Lucas

Thomas A. Lucas, 83, passed away at home in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky on March 18, 2021. Thomas was the husband of the late Darlene Lucas. Born in Alpena, Michigan, on December 17, 1937, he was the son to the late Andrew and Dorothy Lucas. Thomas after being born in Alpena, MI; has lived in Fresno, CA, Prescott, AZ and was currently residing in Lawrenceburg, KY. Thomas was a veteran who served his country in the Army during the Korean War where he was a sharp shooter. Thomas was a member of the Salt River Church in Lawrenceburg. He loved horse racing, bowling, hunting and fishing. Thomas is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Dorothy Lucas; and his wife, Darlene Lucas. He is survived by his daughters, Yvonne Muraca and Dennise Wiedeman; sons, Andrew Lucas, Martin Lucas and Mark Lucas; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Saffell House Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. The Funeral Service will be held at Saffell House Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 with a graveside following at Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Lucas, Andrew Lucas and Zachary Lucas. The service will be conducted by Carl Bush. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Hospital.
