I am so very sorry to learn of this loss today upon returning to work. I met your son as a patient, and I grieve his passing now as a friend. He was such a kind soul. It was so very rare to not see that big smile on his face, a true testament to his strength and character. It's hard to wrap my head around such a bright light dimmed far too early. I can only hope that God brings you all peace and comfort during this difficult time. I am very grateful and humbled to have met such a wonderful young man and I believe I speak for all of us at Markey when I say he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

What a great guy!! I enjoyed every second of what little time I got to spend with him. Christian brightened my day whenever he was around. He was so selfless and alway took the time to hear what was going on in everyone else's lives, knowing full well that he had enough going on in his own. I've never met anyone lIke him...and probably never will. He quickly became someone I looked forward to seeing (I only wish it were under different circumstances). I saw him just last week and his mom took a picture of the two of us for which I will hold dear to my heart. Rest in peace my dear friend. My deepest regret to the Shadburne family. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. He was your angel on earth and now he stands watching you from above.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Shadburne and family. I am so sorry that cancer had to be a part of Christian's life. I do remember him as I assisted Mrs. Bush @GCA. From reading about his life it appears Christian matured to be a fine young man who truly loved God. I am thankful for the promise of eternal life with Jesus Christ who gave His only son to make that possible for all who believe. Cindy and David u can't even imagine the pain you are going through in this loss of a wonderful young man. I never got to meet Christian but followed his blog and was in absolute awe of his faith. I believe Christian is in heaven right now tending to all those babies like the one I lost many years ago as they are angels worshiping together. When my mother was in the nursing home in Horse Cave, Ky. JD and his brother would visit her. I cannot tell you what this meant to her or to me. I have prayed for your handsome young man. The church of Christ FB page for women told his story and ask for prayers. I have two sons ages 39 and 37. One is a preacher and the other a deacon.
