Obituary of Johnny Buck Perry

Johnny Buck Perry, 70, passed away at home in Harrodsburg, Ky on October 2, 2020. Johnny was the husband of the late Brenda Sue Evans Perry.. Born in Anderson County, on December 24, 1949, he was the son to the late Hansel and Mary Wells Perry. Johnny lived in Anderson County for the majority of his life and then 15 years ago bought a farm and moved to Harrodsburg where he resided for the rest of his life. Johnny worked in asphalt for some 40 years, spending the majority of the early years working for Bluegrass Paving in Covington, Ky and then later working for BJ Paving in Salvisa, Ky for about nine years. Johnny loved to farm; he had cows and donkeys and loved to ride on his tractor. He was also known to send the grandkids and great-grandkids home filled with chocolate. Johnny was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Johnny is predeceased by his parents, Hansel and Mary Wells Perry; wife, Brenda Sue Evans Perry; sister, Debbie King; and brother, Danny Perry. Johnny is survived by his daughter, Tina Brown (Brian); son, Donald Perry (Liz); sisters, Lisa Hicks (Kenneth), Judy Hatter (Jackie) and Patty Perry; brothers, Ray Perry Sr. and Jerry Perry (Dina); grandchildren, Jasper Perry (Patti), Tyler Perry, Trevor Perry and Briana Brown; and great-grandchildren, JD Perry and Lane Perry. Visitation will be at Saffell House Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg from 1-8 p.m. on Sunday October 4, 2020. Visitation will precede the service on Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m..The Funeral Service will be held at Saffell House Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Monday October 5, 2020 with interment following at Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jasper Perry, Trevor Perry, Tyler Perry, BJ Perry, Dylan Gaines and Mikey Bast. The service will be conducted by Terry Cooper from Ninevah Christian Church.
