My thoughts and prayers are with Charlotte and his family. Lonnie was one of my best friends during high school and we got into a lot of mischief I remember one time driving three hours down to Tennessee to buy fireworks only to find that the stores were closed.. Then driving all the way back to Louisville after midnight, of course our parents didn’t know what we were doing!
Another time we were wearing our Chi Theta sweatshirts to school one day; all of us got called down to Mr. Pittinger’s office; don’t remember what was said but it was something like don’t ever wear those sweatshirts to school again
And then there were thesnow days, going to Cherokee Park sleigh riding down that big hill doing the bonfires at night great great memories
Of course there were many many other stories.
Oh those were the days!
yes
my friend , ‘till we meet again

My sincere condolences to each one of Lonnie's family.
May the time it takes to heal all wounds pass as quickly as possible, so that each of you can truly celebrate Lonnie's life and the time you had together, thru the wonderful legacy he and Charlotte leave with you...
I am so glad that Lonnie and I spent time laughing, talking, and catching up with each other at our 55th Durrett Reunion two years ago.
Lonnie was a great guy and a good person.
May God bless and comfort each of you now and forever.

We were all young together, with young children. We did lots of things together when we lived on the same street. we missed Lonnie and Charlotte a lot when they moved to Chaplin. We visited and enjoyed being with the family for the children's weddings. The boys visited for several days during the summer every year for a while. We are sorry to know that Lonnie has left his family even as we are coffinite we will see him again when heaven is our home. Take care all of you and be of comfort to each other.
Love from all the Tanner family
