Obituary of William Henry Morrow, Jr.

William “Bill” Henry Morrow, 77, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was born on November 10, 1947, in Midway, Kentucky, to the late William Henry Morrow, and Anna Katherine Derringer Morrow.

Bill graduated from Midway High School in 1965 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969. After his service, he settled in Lawrenceburg, where he spent most of his life. A skilled mechanic, Bill had a passion for working on old cars. He was a hardworking man who never took a day off and had a knack for fixing anything with a motor. His family fondly recalls never knowing what project he would drive up in next.

Bill was known for his sense of humor and love of making others laugh. A cancer survivor and an overcomer, he lived life with strength and resilience. He had a special way of showing love to his family and had a loving wife of 50 years, Wanda Ward Morrow, whose prayers guided them through life’s challenges. In his final days, Bill found peace in his faith and served a loving and merciful God.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Ward Morrow; daughters, Michelle Searcy, Glenda Snellen, Chrissy Gardner, Missy Russell, Jacqueline Morrow, Jessica Morrow, and Kristen Morrow; sons, Bill Morrow, James Morrow, and Donnie Morrow; sisters, Henrietta Parker and Myrtle Purcell; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kamyra Gardner.

A private family service will be held to honor his life and legacy.

Pallbearers will be Landon Searcy, Colton Searcy, Derek Cocanougher, Bryce Snellen, Tyson Gardner, Kaden Gardner, Kynan Russell, and Aricin Russell.

Honorary Pallbeaers are Bill Morrow, James Morrow, Donnie Morrow, and the remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
