Ray Thomas Perry, 72, passed away at Robley Rex VAMC in Louisville on March 15, 2021. Ray was the husband of the late Debbie Kay Perry. Born in Anderson County, on July 10, 1948, he was the son to the late Hansel (Pat) and Mary Wells Perry. Ray served his country in the Army and was a member of the American Legion. Ray is an Anderson County native where he owned an asphalt business with his son, BJ. Over the years Ray worked in the pipeline, was a logger and in asphalt. In his spare time Ray loved to fish and cook but especially loved his grandkids. Ray is predeceased by his parents, Hansel and Mary Wells Perry; wife, Debbie Kay Perry; sons, Ray Thomas Perry and Michael Keith Perry; sister, Debbie King; and brothers, Danny Perry and Johnny Buck Perry. Ray is survived by his daughter, Angela Smith (Terry); son, Benjamin Joseph Perry (Aimee); sisters, Lisa Hicks (Kenneth), Judy Hatter (Jacky) and Patty Perry; brother, Jerry Perry (Dina); grandchildren, William Chisholm, David Chisholm, Taylor Perry, Elizabeth Thomas, Jolynn Perry, Joe Thomas, and Brooklyn Perry; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Saffell House Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg from 3-9 p.m. on Friday March 19, 2021.The Funeral Service will be held at Saffell House Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 20, 2021 with a graveside following at Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Smith, Joe Thomas, David Chisholm, Robbie Hicks, Jasper Perry, Donald Perry, Billy Lanham, and Johnny Ashburn. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Jeremy Bowen, Curt Bowman, Patrick Perry, and William Chisholm. The service will be conducted by Noel Cotton.
