Obituary of William Christian Shadburne

William Christian Lewis Shadburne, 22 of Winchester, KY graduated from this life on May 26, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Louisville, KY the son of David and Cindy Shadburne. He attended Glasgow Christian Academy, Munfordville Elementary School and graduated from Hart County High School in 2012. While at Hart County High School he was involved in many activities including Beta Club, National Honor Society, FBLA and was voted Mr. Hart County. Christian was currently enrolled at Western Kentucky University majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. His goal was to be a pediatrician. He was also an avid sports fan having played basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis, ran cross-country and earned all-district honors in basketball and soccer in high school. He enjoyed intramurals at WKU and cheering for the Hilltoppers and the Louisville Cards. Other hobbies of Christians included wood working, disc golf, music and always making time for his family and friends. Even more important to Christian was serving others. He volunteered at nursing homes and at camps for children with disabilities. However the most important thing in his life was serving God. He spent much time in the study of God’s word and longed to live a life faithful to God and be an encouragement to all he met. He was an active member at Eastside church of Christ in Bowling Green, KY. He is survived by his parents David and Cindy of Winchester; his brother JD and sister-in-law Sarah of Lexington; his brother Noah of Winchester. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Marshall and Faye of Winchester. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Anna Paschall of Memphis along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to count. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Trenton and Lola Wells of Bowling Green. Arrangements have been entrusted to Saffell House Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg. Visitation hours will be Saturday May 28 12:00 – 7:00 and Sunday May 29 4:00 – 7:00. Christian wished to be remembered with a celebration of life service where we share memories of him and rejoice in his hope. Plans for this are still being developed.
